Collaborate4Teachers is a wiki for introducing you to

PBWorks and VoiceThread, classroom collaboration tools.

Together these Web 2.0 Tools can be used for creating your online student portfolios.  As long as your students have the site address, login and password, they will have permanent access to their portfolios.

Some questions to consider:

What is your instructional plan for using your wiki?

How can you use it for assessing your students?

Here are some ideas on how to use your Electronic Student Portfolios:

o    Readers’ Theater – recorded video for peer comments

o    Book Reports – summaries of books read for peer comments

o    Book Study – literature groups reading and responding to literature

o    Math – student created videos teaching mathematical concepts

o    Science –student created videos, featuring experiments and other learning

o    Social Studies – student created videos and other learning

o    Instructional Podcasting

o    A combination of any above

Start small and keep it simple!
